Class – Bobbin Lace

Embroidery Central will be having a bobbin lace class this Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013 at 2pm. A beginner kit will cost $55. If you already have the supplies, the cost of the class is $10 with a project fee of $5.

What is bobbin lace? Bobbin lace also known as pillow lace and bone lace is the braiding or weaving of threads to create beautiful hand made lace.  The threads are wound onto bobbins created for this type of  lace making.  This is a family fun event and seating is limited. Call (435) 755-0486 to sign up for the class. I should also mention that this event is in Logan, Utah.

If you want to just see what the class is about, just swing on by and poke your head in the class room. We would love to visit with you and show off our talents.

Happy Stitching!

February’s Project of the month is ‘Be True.’  The kit includes the pattern, fabric, and buttons. You have two choices of fabric 28 count linen or 10 count Tula. All of the above for only $18 plus tax.

I stitched this project on the 10 count Tula with DMC pearl cotton in about 3 days. It is small and it is easy. This would make a great project for beginners or a nice fun small project for advanced stitchers.

Also, I am holding a contest to redesign this blog and another blog at rayven ire.
